When our clients first approached us they had started on a substanial rebuild of their 1914 heritage Arts and Crafts Style home. Renovations were planned to increase the size of the building envelope as well as adding an extra storey and a rooftop viewing platform, therefore more than doubling the size of the floorplan to be one of the area's finest prestige homes.
Our interior design scope included colour palette and materials with a handsome darker palette chosen for the cinema and the adjoining bar & billiard room. We chose a dark purple and silver thread grasscloth wallpaper to clad the walls with French noir stone bar top and florentine mirror finish which creates an initimate amibence for entertaining family and friends. Stylish pendant light feature throughout the home including large scale pendants in the formal living and dining rooms. The kitchen facilities are extensive and designed for entertaining with bifold windows transforming the area into an alfresco area and easy access to the pool and tennis court beyond.
An extensive Walk in Robe (WIR) adjoins the Master Bedroom and Ensuite and the joinery is a handsome metallic 2 pac finish. The master suite bathroom is all class with large format marblelook tiles flowing from the walls to the floor. The wide expanse of mirror on the vainty and wrapping around the corners expands the space with its reflections and elevates the style of the room. This home achieves a transformation from an original period piece to a home with luxury proportions that would be the envy of all the neighbours.
